Quartzite
Quartzite is based on sandstone and belongs to the so-called metamorphites, i.e. those types of rock that have been formed by adapting to changing pressure or temperature conditions. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, depending on the variety, and can uniquely offer colours and grains similar to those of marble, with the added benefit of granite's hardness, making it the ideal material for kitchen worktops.
Quartzite is also one of the hardest and densest types of stone around, which is why it is found mainly in outdoor areas, on terraces and stairs.
Quartzite tiles, on the other hand, impress with their natural rough surface and the resulting slip resistance and are popular in saunas and wellness areas or for heavily frequented areas.
