Granite
Granite is an igneous rock formed from magma deep in the earth's crust. Granite is generally composed of quartz and feldspar, which makes it extremely scratch-resistant, heat-resistant and chip-resistant.
Ultra-hard, weatherproof and durable: granite stones are literally "hard boulders". Their colour spectrum ranges from light grey to bluish-red. But the quartz-rich stone is also tough: it can be ground, polished, flamed, brushed, sandblasted and worked in many other ways.
If granite is flamed, it gets a rough, non-slip surface. Since almost all granite is frost-resistant, flamed granite tiles or slabs can be used outdoors without any problems.
